Most of our cotton clothes are produced with regular cotton, which means synthetic and chemical pesticides and fertilizers are used. According to The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) considers seven of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton in the United States as “possible,” “likely,” “probable,” or “known” to cause cancer in humans.
Honestly I never thought of this before, I was never told how dangerous it could be and I also did not know that we all can find organic cotton clothing and bamboo fabrics also. After receiving these amazing pieces from Hooked Productions I started researching about the importance of bamboo and organic cotton products and I am amazed.
Bamboo can grow organically without the use of pesticides because it is naturally disease- and pest-resistant. Making it a better natural alternative to cotton, as cotton is one of the most intensely sprayed crops in the world. (That is why organic cotton could be a better option too)
The color of the clothes last longer: Whilst bamboo fibre requires far less dye than cotton, it also showcases color exceptionally well. Vibrant colors that will last well as one of the major benefits of this superior material.
Non-irritating fabrics: The naturally smooth fibers of bamboo fabric lie flat against the skin, limiting skin irritation and sensitivity.
Anti-odour: Bamboo clothing naturally has anti-bacterial properties to fight odour

La mayoría de la ropa de algodón es producida con algodón “regular” lo que significa que es sintético y que es tratado con pesticidas y fertilizantes químicos. Según el departamento de protección ambiental (EPA) por sus siglas en inglés; se considera que existen cerca de 15 pesticidas que se usan en los Estados Unidos que tienen una “probabilidad” de causar cancer en los seros humanos.
Honestamente nunca había pensado sobre este tema antes, yo no estaba enterada de lo peligroso que podría ser usar algodón regular en la ropa; tampoco sabia que existía algodón orgánico o ropa fabricada con bamboo. Es por eso que al recibir información de Hooked Production y ver la calidad de la ropa, empece a leer mas sobre este tema y me pareció muy interesante compartirlo.
Bamboo es una planta que puede crecer orgánicamente sin necesidad de pesticidas, esta es una opción mucho más natural que el algodón ya que el algodón es una de las plantaciones que más pesticidas requiere. Algodón orgánico también podría ser una excelente opción.
El color de la ropa dura más: Las fibras de bamboo requieren menos coloración que el algodón y al mismo tiempo ese color dura muchísimo más por el tipo de material.
No irritan la piel: La naturalidad y suavidad del bamboo no permite que la piel se irrite en lo absoluto.
Menos olores: La rompa de bamboo naturalmente es anti bacterial y tienen propiedades que evitan el mal olor.
